Shipping & Returns Policy
This policy explains delivery timelines, shipping charges, return eligibility, and refund processing for orders placed with Japan Direct BD in Bangladesh.

1) Delivery Coverage
We currently deliver nationwide across Bangladesh through our delivery and courier partners. Certain remote locations may require additional delivery time.
2) Shipping Charges
- Standard shipping fee: BDT 69 (shown at checkout).
- Free delivery threshold: orders above BDT 1,599 qualify for free delivery where applicable.
- Final shipping charge is shown clearly before order confirmation.
3) Estimated Delivery Time
- Dhaka Metro: typically 2–5 business days.
- Outside Dhaka: typically 5–10 business days.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to weather, public holidays, transport disruption, political events, or courier constraints beyond our control.
4) Order Processing and Dispatch
Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days after confirmation (and payment verification where required). You may receive order and delivery updates by email, phone, or SMS where available.
5) Delivery Attempts and Failed Delivery
Please provide accurate name, phone, and address details. If delivery fails due to incorrect information, unreachable phone, or repeated absence, re-delivery may involve extra charges or order cancellation based on situation.
6) Preorders and Out-of-Stock Items
Out-of-stock products may be accepted as preorder items where enabled. Preorder fulfillment generally takes longer because dispatch starts after inventory arrives at our Bangladesh warehouse from Japan/Korea. In selected cases, items may be shipped directly from origin.
- Preorder timelines are estimate-based and can vary by supplier, import, and clearance processes.
- If a preorder is shipped directly from Japan, the customer is responsible for any applicable customs duty, VAT, taxes, and clearance charges in Bangladesh.
- By placing a preorder, you acknowledge and accept these extended lead-time and import-charge conditions.
7) Return Eligibility
We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for eligible items, subject to the following:
- item must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging;
- proof of purchase/order details must be provided;
- return request must be approved by our support team before shipping back the product.
8) Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, we may decline returns for opened skincare/makeup items, personal care products, and items damaged due to misuse, unless there is a verified quality issue or wrong item delivery.
9) Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us as soon as possible (preferably within 48 hours of receipt) with clear photos/video and order details. We will review and provide replacement/refund support based on verification.
10) Refund Processing
- After return approval and item inspection, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
- Refund method may vary by original payment channel (gateway/wallet/bank transfer/cash adjustment).
- Processing time may vary depending on payment provider/courier reconciliation.
11) Policy Updates and Legal Note
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of revised terms. We aim to administer this policy in line with applicable laws and regulatory requirements in Bangladesh.
